DO YOU ALREADY KNOW ABOUT OUR SOCIAL AND SUSTAINABILITY INITIATIVES?

We are committed to ensuring that EXPOMAFE has a positive impact on people and the planet. We aim to play a key role in helping the entire sector community improve its own sustainability by connecting people to the networks and knowledge they need to help solve the major challenges of the future.

Sustainability in EXPOMAFE

EXPOMAFE, the international trade fair for machine tools and industrial automation, recognizes the importance of sustainability in its initiatives. For us, sustainability represents a commitment to both the present and the future, highlighting our responsibility to promote an environmentally conscious, socially equitable, and economically viable world.
In the machine tools and industrial automation sector, we face significant challenges regarding sustainability, including carbon emissions, energy efficiency, more sustainable raw materials, waste generation, and the inclusion of professionals and technologies in the sector. However, we see these challenges as opportunities to innovate, seek efficient solutions, and promote more sustainable practices.
EXPOMAFE aims to be a platform to discuss and address these challenges, inspiring participants to adopt sustainable practices. By joining forces during events, we aim to strengthen a transformative movement in the industry, collectively building a sustainable future. We seek the commitment of each participant not only as a response to current challenges but as a collective effort to build a sustainable future.

As part of our commitment, we are focused on three pillars of sustainability:

With the aim of increasing the number of young people and adults with relevant skills for the job market, including technical and professional competencies, EXPOMAFE offers opportunities for improvement and training through lectures, demonstrations, and networking with specialists. EXPOMAFE promotes the educational development of the public entering the industrial job market, including the encouragement of caravans from educational institutions to expand access to the fair and its educational content.
Focusing on education, highlights include:
  • The Voice of Industry Stage: A content and lecture space with topics on industry and sustainability, energy, intralogistics, robotics, and more related themes.
  • Thematic Stand: This attraction features strategic partners detailing some technological advancements made possible by machine tools and industrial automation. The space includes product displays and specialist consultations.
  • Hackathon: In partnership with ACATE (Santa Catarina Technology Association), EXPOMAFE 2025 will feature a hackathon for the first time, bringing together startups and young professionals with solutions for Industry 4.0. More information coming soon.
  • SENAI Mobile School: Demonstrations and practical experiences in an interactive attraction with cutting-edge scientific equipment and informative materials, supervised by SENAI technicians and teachers.
Aiming to promote productivity, technological modernization, and innovation, EXPOMAFE brings together national and international exhibitors showcasing the latest in machines, equipment, tools, and software.
The content of the Ideas Park also addresses relevant issues for the training and development of professionals for the industry.
EXPOMAFE promotes equitable access to market innovations, supporting infrastructure development. To showcase Industry 4.0 applications and their advantages, ABIMAQ presents the Industry 4.0 Technology Solutions Demonstrator. With the support of strategic companies and educational institutions, visitors can see connected and operating machines and software.
With dedicated spaces, the Intralogistics and Cargo Handling Arena and the Welding & Cutting Island will bring together exhibitors from each niche, showcasing the latest technology for the efficiency of these industrial processes.
The organization of EXPOMAFE ensures accessibility to the event by offering free van transportation from strategic points in the São Paulo Expo pavilion area. During the fair, attendees can rely on motorized chairs available for people with reduced mobility.
For visitors traveling to São Paulo, we have partnered with a travel agency that can arrange flights and accommodation with the best cost-benefit ratio. To ensure the accessibility of our content and the inclusion of the audience, the Voice of Industry Stage will feature a Libras interpreter in all presentations.
In addition to the content programming during the event and on digital channels, ensuring that everyone has access to information, EXPOMAFE guides all its actions and those of exhibitors around responsible consumption, including efficient use of energy and natural resources, waste reduction, and encouraging reuse and recycling, as well as responsible hiring in the supply chain.

Better Stands is a program by Informa Markets, the organizer of EXPOMAFE, which aims to achieve zero waste from stands by 2030. The initiative aims to encourage exhibiting companies to abandon the use of disposable (single-use) stands and prioritize the use of reusable structures.

By making their stand designs sustainable, builders and exhibitors will be recognized with Gold, Silver, and Bronze seals on their stands during the EXPOMAFE event.

Designed for 2030, the final level incorporates all elements of the Bronze and Silver levels, adding graphics, decorative items, and floor coverings to ensure zero waste generation.

Planned to be achieved by the year 2027, at this level, in addition to including all elements of the bronze level, all structural objects, front and aerial signage, ceiling, and display stands must also be reusable.

This level involves the construction of stands where the components, including walls, floors, furniture, equipment, and lighting, are 100% reusable, with the goal to be achieved at all Informa Markets events by next year.

Participation in the Better Stands program brings benefits to the entire events market, the main one being that the adoption of reusable structures will drastically reduce waste generation and consequently the environmental impact of events.
